John Campbell, 27 New Street, Lionel, has received information that his son John, who was a seaman in the Mercantile Marine, was drowned off the Irish coast, the steamer in which he was serving being torpedoed and sunk on the homeward voyage. Much sympathy is expressed for the bereaved family.
