He was so light-hearted and fearless a lad as has ever gone forth from this township. Although young in years, he had already won a peculiar place in the affections of all who knew him. The genial and happy expression ever to be seen on his face and the gentleness of his every action gave him an individuality, irresistibly attractive. Great must be the grief of such a loving and dutiful son.
